Blog #3 (Social Interaction)

Does the internet isolate people form real social interaction, or does it actually foster more social interaction?  To elaborate on this idea of social interaction you would have to have a clear definition of "Real Social Interaction".   If your looking at social interaction as being a close ended form of in-person communication i could see how one would come to the conclusion of the internet isolating real social interaction.  On the other hand if were talking about social interaction as a whole i think if anything it helps.  Twitter and Facebook have given us outlets to be able to express ourselves with other people that some of us wouldn't ordinarily do if we were face to face with someone.  It also allows every person to be able to communicate to the masses.  All in all i still feel like the internet is a new form of real social interaction and as long as were interacting whether through the internet or in person all dialogue is good dialogue.
